German Chancellery building

The new German Chancellery (Kanzleramt) building is located in Berlin, and is one of the largest government headquarters buildings in the world. The construction was completed in 2001 and was designed by Charlotte Frank and Axel Schultes, two German contemporary architects.

Visitors are not allowed to go inside the building, but from the outside it is possible to admire its unique architectural style. It is not unusual to see political manifestations in front of the building, like the one in the image bellow, where people were protesting against economic measures took by Angela Merckel government on January of 2009.
