Capybaras in Blumenau

22/09/2009

One of the atractions of Blumenau, a city located in the valley of Itajaí River, state of Santa Catarina, south of Brazil, is the great quantity of capybaras that live in the river that crosses the city. The capybara is the largest living rodent in the world, and is an atraction for itself, but find this animal feeding and walking around the borders of a river that crosses the center of a city with more than 120.000 people is quite unusual. At least in the south of Brazil.
