Palermo Soho, Buenos Aires

23/10/2009
Palermo is the largest neighborhood of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina. Maybe because of its large area, Palermo is subdivided in Palermo Viejo, Alto Palermo , Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood, Palermo Chico and Las Cañitas. From all of these subdivisions, Palermo Soho is probably the one that has the most “alternative” atmosphere among all the neighborhoods of Buenos Aires.
Filled with bars, restaurants, fashion and design stores, Palermo Soho attracts young and upper middle class people, as well as tourists from all around the world. One of the most effervescent places is Plaza Serrano, wich is surrounded by many bars where people spend good time drinking beer before going to the night clubs. There is also an art fair in Plaza Serrano during the weekends.
