Jaraguá do Sul

08/12/2009

Jaraguá do Sul is located on the north of the state of Santa Catarina, south of Brazil. It is a city known for their wealthy industries, like WEG, one of the largest eletric engines manufacturers of the world, and Malwee, one of the largest textile companies of Brazil, whose founder, Wolfgang Weege, created the most visited tourist spot of the city, the Malwee Park (Parque Malwee). This park has an area of 1.500.000 m2 of preserved Atlantic Forest, 17 lakes, a soccer field, two museums, a restaurant, and lots of public space.

Other place to visit when in town is the Historic Museum (Museu Histórico de Jaraguá do Sul), located in downtown.
