Verona, Italy

08/02/2013

Verona is located on the region of Veneto, northern Italy. It is one of the main travel destinations in Italy, and has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO because of its urban structure and architecture.

Situated between Milan and Venice, Verona is well known as the city of Romeo and Juliet, but it has much more to offer. The historic center is plenty of historic atractions, from the Verona Arena (Arena di Verona), built by the Romans in the 1st century, to medieval buildings, like Castelvecchio (Old Castle in Italian), a 14th century medieval complex built as a residence and fortress. The beautiful bridges crossing the Adige River, the nice bars, restaurants and cafes, the wonderful food, everything makes Verona a must to see place when in Italy.
